About Miimosa
Miimosa is the #1 crowdfunding platform dedicated to farmers and food. The principle of the platform is to offer donations versus donations in the form of products such as cheese, yogurts, whiskey, ice creams, week-end in the countryside,… The founder Florian Breton is grandson of a winegrower from Perpignan and former manager of M6 Channel and Orange.
Miimosa has been incepted in December 2014 and since then has experience a soaring development of its crowdfunding platform.
The Deal
AltaVenture acted as the exclusive financial advisor to Miimosa on a combined investment of €700k by Crédit Agricole and PhiTrust private equity fund. The proceeds of the private placement will be used to accelerate the development of Miimosa in France and in several European countries, i.e. Belgium, Italy and Spain.
